Your iPhone might make you a better student

Your iPhone may be able to make you a better student in contrast to what your parents may say. On June 7th, IOS15 got released, introducing many new features that allow your phone to become more of a tool rather than a distraction.

Your iPhone will allow you to be more focused while studying.

Firstly, a new feature that has been on android for a while has been released, called Focus mode, which allows you to select when you receive notifications from specific contacts and apps. You can also choose if you want to receive notifications for a time-sensitive thing which can be convenient when you don't want to get distracted by Instagram notifications or text messages from your friends. And if something needs your attention, you can be aware of it, receiving the additional benefit of getting rid of the anxiety of missing important things while your phone is on do not disturb.

Another great addition in IOS 15 is Advanced Do not Disturb, which allows others to know when you've turned on Do Not Disturb. It is a great feature to have as you can know when your friend doesn't want to be disturbed.

You will be able to take better notes.

If you are in class and there's something written on the board, Apple's new live text feature allows you to take handwritten notes and turn them into text which is great if you want to add something from paper notes to the Notes app or any other notetaking app.

Speaking of the Notes app, one great feature added to it is the User-created tags. It is another way to organize your notes into a quick keyword, making the notes apps a bit more like a database. It may cause you to move your handwritten notes in the Apple Notes app because you can organize notes for school or any other category even further.

Your iPhone will let you get around a bit better.

Furthermore, the Apple translate app allows you to take an image of something in one language and translate it into your native language for better understanding. It's useful for those studying abroad, as you might be unable to understand the other language.

If talked about navigation, Apple maps have also been updated and allow a much better navigation experience by adding new details for buildings and other infrastructures. There also updates that enable you to see the difference in elevation between roads. Moreover, custom landmarks are available now, making Apple Maps more immersive than ever.
