Is Fiction for Children?

Did you know that fiction writing as a genre has 140 sub-genres? Yes, it's fascinating. Fiction has been a very prominent part of the book community from the beginning. For ages, people have interpreted their thoughts and gave them words. These imaginations and dreams have given birth to inventions that are a prominent part of the world today. However, we hear that fiction sets up unrealistic examples.  Why is it so?

We tend to believe in ideas that are too good to be true, an image of the world that could never be real. One can say that they divert us from the real world and its problems and have always seen a way to escape from one's problems or responsibilities.

But people also see fiction from a positive perspective. It's a figment of imagination, a person's thought or an idea, even a small one. And actually, this is the reason people read it. Often people want to forget the reality they live in and get lost in something else. Here, fiction comes into play.Psychology suggests that these fictional worlds and characters have a significant influence on us and our lives.

Fictional books are written for people of all ages. The authors have expanded this universe of fiction and, it keeps on growing. There is something for everyone to read and relate to in this genre. Sub-genres like Fantasy, Science Fiction, Magical Realism, Dystopian, etc are branches of fiction that are very popular among the readers, irrespective of their age.So to say that fiction is just for children is undermining the force of imagination and endless possibilities for those who read fiction to dare to dream and change the world.
